The OFF THE WALL SITE Forum crashed. I’ve been trying to fix it but no go. I am debating what I should do, whether to install a completely new forum or keep it on leave for a few. If you have any comments please feel free to email me at raf@offthewallsite.com
Thanks.
The Forum isn’t working at the moment. I am not sure what is going on, but I will try and figure out whats going on.
Hopefully I get it up back soon.
Lots of Vans Syndicate news has surfaced recently. The 009 Syndicate line looks to be promising. First with the Gabe Morford pack and now Max Schaaf has put his touches on a pack. Schaaf is known for being a skateboarder and a custom chopper builder. Schaaf chose to work on 2 Eras and 2 Mountain Editions for his pack. Each coming in a black premium leather and a red premium leather. The shoes look to be promising, and an extra present comes with them as well. If you need rubber handle bars and a pair of shoes, be sure to cop these this coming Holiday.

We’ve seen the majority of the new Syndicate line, so its time to see whats up for Holiday ‘08. Gabe Morford has teamed up with Vans Syndicate to do a pack of 3 shoes. Gabe Morford is known for his work in the MASH SF film and the track bike scene. Morford has taken an Era, a Slip On and a Half cab and fit them to his own style. Each shoe comes with a unique Benecke Ceraprene material with a durable texture for the fixed gear bike riders. These are part of the Holiday line so we won’t be seeing these for a couple months.

Fall is just around the corner, so we know we will be hit with a bunch of new stuff. Vans Syndicate is just one of those lines that we have been hit with. Vans Syndicate has teamed up with Steve Olson on two brand new sneakers that come in a high top and a low top version. Steve Olson was an extremely legendary bowl skater in the 70s, so this pack is pretty memorable. The pack features a snakeskin upper, with a white midsole and a black toe cap. The shoes are named the V79 “S” and the V79 Hi “S”. These are dropping this summer, so be sure to keep up with your Syndicate retailers for availability.

Vans is more known for their suttle style, but with the CMYK pack it is a totally different story. The pack features a Sk8 Hi, a Mountain Edition Mid, and an Era. Each shoe features yellow/pink/blue/green colorways on the shoe. The shoes are pretty bright, but I’m sure some of you will scoop these bad boys up.

Vans is making sure to alway bring the heat for the future. The new Snake Scale Pack features a Sk8 Hi, a Zapato del Barco and an Era. Each shoe has a brown/purple/snake scale colorway. These shoes, even though they are brown, are really hitting it. The detail on the snake scale looks to be pretty good, and with the Zapato craze, I’m sure they will go fast. Be sure to check out the forum for more info as they come close to releasing.

Vans and skateboarding legend, Tony Alva, have worked together for quite some time. This time around Alva took his signature shoe a little farther, and has introduced the Quarter Skool to us. The shoe is a reminder of the old skool skateboards, with woodgrain-printed canvas side panels. These shoes come in four colorways and they should be dropping soon. These will be highly sought after by every skateboarder out there.

Vans has started a new pack called the Legends Pack. Steve Caballero was the first to do this pack, if you missed it check it out here. The new person doing the Legends Pack is Jeff Grosso. Grosso grew up in Southern California and his unique way of skating has made him stand out since the 80s. The Jeff Grosso pack features artwork by Jim Phillips from Santa Cruz, with a Sk8 Hi and an Old Skool in the pack. Both seem to be simple with black uppers, with red accents. These will drop in Spring ‘09 so be sure to check back once we get some more information on them.
